Introduction from Davenia Lea

Greetings,

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and to officially welcome you, Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), to the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  (read BIO here)

I am excited to be a part of this awesome and important mission — to grow our ECEC programs across the North American Division.  I believe that God has BIG things in store for us and I count it a privilege to be working on His behalf for His precious little ones.

What a BLESSING to have been a part of the 2012 Teacher’s Convention.  I don’t know about you, but I am still riding high and I am more excited than ever about the future of the NAD ECEC!  After having returned home, I continue to reflect upon how we were challenged, inspired and empowered.

Pastor Dwight Nelson challenged us to live at the foot of the Cross Daily.  Hearing from others in the field with respect to collaborating more effectively, helping our little ones develop spiritually, and how to more effectively manage our ministry was inspiring.  And I hope that you felt empowered to Fall Upward as we strive to cast and embrace a common vision, to work in harmony, and to enhance our ministry of sharing the love of Christ with our little one’s their families and the communities we serve.  Follow this link for a few photo highlights http://www.flickr.com/photos/nadadventist/sets/72157630931577938/

So many have shared their stories with me and now I’m asking that you share your stories with the NAD ECEC Family.  Please share how the Teacher’s Convention CHALLENGED, INSPIRED and/or EMPOWERED you.  How has participation in the Convention impacted your center/program?  Did you make any significant or meaningful connections with others? Did you learn something new?  We’d love to hear your story and if you have pictures or videos, PLEASE share those as well!

I’m looking forward to connecting with you!

From my heart to yours,

Davenia
