Make ahead: Take a close-up picture of each child. Laminate each picture cutting to make each one the same size if necessary. Attach a magnet securely on the back of each picture. Create a colorful bulletin board with a fun title: My Friends are blooming! or God makes each Snowflake Special! or I’m falling for you! Pin each picture to a flower, snowflake or leaf. You can use the pictures for other activities and then attach back on your bulletin board when finished with the activity.

He loves you, He loves me!

Good-bye, good-bye

Good-by, good-bye
Be always kind and true
Wave good-by to the toys “bye-bye toys, bye-bye soft carpet…)

Supplies Needed

Individual laminated pictures of the babies in your class, cookie sheet to put baby’s picture on using magnet on back of picture.  Place supplies in your ‘Play-Time’ basket. Spread out a small rug to define your ‘Play-Time’ area and give the children a place for sitting. When you sit on carpet with babies put the basket to your side out of reach of babies.

Suggested Play-Time conversation

Sing ‘hello’ to each baby while smiling and looking into their eyes say: “Hello my little friend! It makes me happy to see you today!”  Get close enough so that they see the joy on your face.  Sing: Good Morning and tickle or snuggle each child.  Give each baby a little felt Bible. “The Bible tells us that Jesus loves us sooo much! Sing: I Open My Bible Carefully and The Bible is for Me!  He gave us our friends to play with.  Hand out baby dolls and sing: Buddies.  Give time for the babies to explore the doll or animal.  Sing again while giving out the stuffed animals.  Look at all the different kinds of animals Jesus made!  Some are big and some are small.  Some are brown and some are yellow! He loves you and he loves the animals.  Sing: Animals Animals. Allow time to explore with the soft animals and the Animal Stacker.  We love Jesus too!  When taking up the animals immediately put a Jingle Wrap in their hand.  Sing: Praise to Jesus. When your time is over sing: Play-time is Over while picking up the toys and waving Good-bye. Good bye little toys, Good bye soft carpet, Good bye my little friends!  Thank you Jesus for my little friends!
